Mission & Values

Rye Elementary School has been welcoming children and their families for over 50 years. Located in the Greenhorn Valley of Southern Colorado, Rye sits just outside the San Isabel National Forest where the majority of fourteen thousand foot peaks in Colorado are located. Rye offers students an opportunity to excel in an environment that encourages creativity, responsibility and community. Rye Elementary School is a part of Pueblo County School District No. 70.

Mission Statement

Our goal at Rye Elementary School is to provide a learning environment where students will meet and exceed academic standards, make thoughtful decisions, and solve problems. With these skills, students will gain knowledge, confidence, and self-discipline. Consistent high expectations for both the student's academic effort and behavior, combined with strong parental support, will bring success. Our staff is dedicated to providing quality instruction.

Parent and Community Support

Rye enjoys vigorous parent and community support. Parents and community members are actively encouraged to volunteer in our classrooms. We believe that it does indeed take a village to raise our children and we embrace the support we receive from the parents and other community members.
